Abstract:
Objective To study the proliferation effect of p,p'-DDD on human mammary cancer cell MCF-7.
Methods We detected estrogenic activity of DDD using the MCF-7 cell proliferation experiment in vitro, and analysed its mechanism by means of growth curve.
Results DDD in the dose of 3& #215;10-7 mol/L and 3& #215;10-6 mol/L could stimulate the MCF-7 cell proliferation and produce estrogenic activity, and the most proliferation effect dose was 3& #215;10-6 mol/L. Cell cycle analysis of cell proliferation index indicated that DDD group was significantly higher than the control group at the third, fifth, and seventh day.
Conclusion DDD in the dose of 3& #215;10-7 mol/L and 3& #215;10-6 mol/L could stimulate the MCF-7 cell multiplication.
