As a new field of comprehensive science, methodology and technique, health risk assessment(HRA)had been established and developed swiftly recent decades. This paper introduced concisely the initiation, development, and perspectives of HRA, reviewed its application to environmental management domestic and abroad, and discussed the gaps for providing thoughts on further research and management.
