  • The paper intends to explore an effective blind sample appraisal and spike recovery test for better laboratory capacity assessment. After confirming the suitability of field test items and blind sample characterizations, blind sample appraisal information tables and operating instructions were established; simple blind samples and spiked samples were prepared according to corresponding items. Such confirmation procedures could expel inappropriate items; and the establishment of information tables and operating instructions could exclude misjudgments due to non-actual ability. This method can enhance the effectiveness of blind sample appraisal and spike recovery test in laboratory capacity assessment.
