Abstract
Quality-adjusted life year (QALY), disability-adjusted life year (DALY) and healthy life expectancy (HALE) have become commonly used general indicators for assessment of population health level. Understanding the difference and similarity among the three life-quality-related indicators may help to make proper use of them.
