Abstract:
Objective To study the effectiveness of implementation of the One File for Each Unit inspection approach to key food enterprises in Huangpu District, Shanghai.
Methods Among total 645 inspection subjects 115 key units were selected by random stratified group sampling method. Food inspection frequency, rate of samples met standard requirement, rate of administrative penalty, and rate of complains from customs were compared prior to and after implementation of the One File for Each Unit.
Results As the results of this study shown the rates of inspection and custom's complain were not changed after implementation of One File for Each Unit approach. Meanwhile, the rate of food met standard increased(P<0.05)and rate of administrative penalty decreased significantly(P<0.05).
Conclusion The implementation of the One File for Each Unit approach in inspection plays a role in promoting the food hygiene in key food enterprises.
