Abstract:
Objective To evaluate the control effect of occupational hazards in a thermal power construction project.
Methods The occupational hazard control effect was analyzed by a hybrid method of field investigation and test of occupational hazardous factors at workplace.
Results The concentrations of CO, NO, NO2, SO2, hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, ammonia and hydrazine in the workplace were lower than occupational exposure limits. The qualified rates of dust, noise, temperature of operating environment and power frequency electric field were 79.1%, 70.6%, 84.6%, and 100.0% respectively.
Conclusion Dust and noise are main occupational hazards in this factory and should be the key items for further control. The control measures for this construction project are basically effective.
