Abstract:
[Objective] To explore the epidemiological characteristics of the occupational injuries in Songjiang district and to provide theoretical evidence for the establishment of effective interference measures.
[Methods] Occupational injuries occurred during January 2006 to December 2008 were analyzed by sex, age, injury site and injury type, using injury observation system.
[Results] The three years occurence rate of occupational injuries were 20.33 ‰, and the mortality was 7.75/105. The highest occurence rate of injuries(75.24%)was in the group aged between 18 and 40. The major parts of injury were upperlimb (36.63%), ankle(22.19%), lowerlimb(20.42%), and face(14.73%)respectively. The main causes of accidents were struck by objects(59.63%), mechanical equipment injuries(20.49%), and fall from higher place(16.71%)respectively.
[Conclusion] The significance of occupational injuries in Songjiang district should be taken into consideration, relevant prevention and control measures according to epidemiological characteristics should be taken.
