Abstract: The hand-arm vibration disease due to widespread hand-transmitted vibration operations is difficult to cure and seriously affects the health and quality of life of patients. Focusing on the prevention and control of hand-transmitted vibration and its occupational hazards, advances in occupational health relevant to hand-transmitted vibration were reviewed from the aspects of occupational hazard status, health impact, exposure monitoring, prevention and control of hand-transmitted vibration, as well as health surveillance, diagnosis, and treatment of hand-arm vibration disease. In addition, further suggestions on prevention and control of occupational hazards related with hand-transmitted vibration were prospected.
