Occupational health protection in the United States:Experience and inspiration-From the perspective of occupational disease diagnosis and occupational injury compensation

  • Occupational injury or work-related diseases cause not only harm to individuals, but also great economic losses to both in dividuals and countries. A Guide to the Work-Relatedness of Disease specifies the principles and methods of occupational disease judgment and provides reference for the prevention of occupational injury and occupational diseases and the promotion of occupational health protection, which can be an example for China. This article suggested that China should extend the coverage of occupational diseases, improve legal system, strengthen the publicity of occupational health knowledge, and enhance occupational health statistics, so as to elevate the level of occupational health protection.
