碘酸钾安全性研究进展

Research advance on potassium iodate safety

  • 摘要: 我国自1994年开始采用碘酸钾进行全民食盐加碘后,碘缺乏病的防治取得了巨大进展,但碘酸钾的安全性在学界存在一定的争议。本文就碘酸钾的理化特性及安全性进行了综述。我国食盐中添加的碘酸钾剂量较低,对机体是安全的。

     

    Abstract: Universal salt iodization with potassium iodate has been implemented since 1994 in China, and the prevention and treatment of iodine deficiency disorders have made great achievements. However, the safety of potassium iodate remains a controversial topic. This paper introduced the physicochemical properties and safety of potassium iodate and concluded that at present the concentration of potassium iodate in table salt is relatively low in China and safe to human health.
