Advances on economic burden of occupational stress

  • Economic globalization and the establishment of free markets provide new opportunities for the development of social economy and personal career. However, such changes could also lead to elevated risks of occupational stress among occupational populations due to mismanagement. Occupational stress may lead to health damage, and cause substantial economic burden at the levels of society, organization, industry, and individual. The paper reviewed the economic burden of occupational stress, in order to provide evidence for intensive study on occupational stress and policy making in China.
