Research progress on endoplasmic reticulum stress-induced apoptosis caused by fluorine

  • Fluorosis can induce cell apoptosis and cause damage to bone and non-bone tissues, which affects human health, but relevant mechanism is not clear yet.Available studies have shown that the apoptosis induced by endoplasmic reticulum stress may be related to the potential mechanism of fluorosis. This article described the occurrence of endoplasmic reticulum stress, three unfolded protein reaction pathways, and the role of endoplasmic reticulum stress-related apoptosis in the potential mechanism of fluorine-induced damage, concluding that endoplasmic reticulum stress played a role in fluorosis via inducing apoptosis.
